Welcome 2009!
And, in my only review of progress made in any area, I compared my word count from 2006, 2007, and 2008.
2006: 26600
2007: 27300
2008: 31700
There's a definite upward trend which make me happy, even though it's not as good as 2005 (43900) or 2004 (46300) which was when I first kept yearly totals. And no matter how much I love you all, I'm not going back to the previous years (three, or er, five, probably, although January 2001 had 54,600--which was when I did that month-long first novel marathon) to add up all those months of words.
Having read
pnew8's entry, my word for the year is focus, and I'm limiting it to three areas--exercise, writing, and voice. A public commitment. Feel free to poke on the first two which will be the most difficult.
Eeeeeeeeeee. *dives under the bed*
